In order to increase awareness of climate change and it’s link to extreme storms, we petitioned the World Meteorological Organization to change their naming system of storms from randomly selected names, such as Katrina and Sandy, to the names of actual policy makers who deny climate change and obstruct climate policy. I headed up the digital component of this campaign and created the “Save a Name” feature that found which of your Facebook friends shared a name with an extreme storm.
